VR environent too dark, PNG Borders visible

Post by Alex » Sat Jun 27, 2020 7:29 pm

Hello Simlab,

1. I am running SC10 and my VR Environment is too dark (and saturated) when i used common HDR environments.
When I use the sun, then the brightness is better yet too saturated, but the shadows are also a deep black.

Do you have any suggestions? I already tried to increase the brightness in the VR environment option to 6 (max value) but is not satisfying.

This is the brightness I would love to achieve in VR, rendered with interior render + Photoshop for sky

2. PNG borders are visible in VR with transparent objects. I guess it is a bug, the png looks fine in Photoshop.

3. The scene browser can be detached and extenden horizontally, but it cannot be extended vertically. It is a Gif, pls open it in a new tab :)

Thank you for your help :)

From Environment VR settings

Try to uncheck the option Auto Adjust HDR Brightness

For the sun einvironment you have can you please let me know both Sun Power and Sky Power
Not to have those very black shadows you need to have some Sky power.

Regarding resizing tree, I will ask developers to make it resizable, like properties panel.

Thank you! yep it seems in SC10 the brightness of the HDR for VR is controlled via the normal HDR settings.
Disabling the HDR autoadjust gives me satisfying results.

Regarding the sun i was not able to achieve a good result :?
The settings for the sky does not seem to impact on the brightness.
Only the strength for the sun works.
