In addition to picking end of edge, the new version of SimLab Composer will offer two picking options
Picking the center of a loop
Picking the center of curvature
When setting the mode to pick center of a loop, the user selects the edge.
If the edge is used by a single loop, the center of the loop is selected.
If the edge is shared by two loops, the user needs to determine which loop to be used, as shown in the following images.
The following example shows how we can use center of curvature picking to rotate the arm of the following robot
The user selects the arm, and moves its pivot to the center of curvature of the selected circle, center or curvature will also work for curves, and half circles.
this makes it easy to have a correct movement of the arm as shown below
New picking modes also work with wheel animation
The user can select center of loop for example to make sure the wheel rotates around its center
