SimLab Composer 2.3 Feature Preview (IPad Viewer)

Scenes built in SimLab Composer 2.3 can be exported to IPad.
To view the file, the user will need SimLab IPad viewer, it will be free at least for a month after the release of SimLab
Composer 2.3

Using SimLab IPad viewer, the user will be able to view:

• 1- Models with scene states
• 2- Models with multiple cameras (no scene states)
• 3- Models with a single view

The viewer will support Ambient, Diffuse, Specular material properties and texture images

As the case with IPad applications SimLab IPad viewer can be used horizontally or vertically

The user can select the background color appropriate for viewing the model

So now you can utilize the same work you did for creating a 3D PDF file and make sure to export the model to IPad, to have access to the model on the go, and to share it with clients.

New plugins for CAD applications based on SimLab Composer 2.3 will make direct export to IPad option available to plugin users

We have plans for Android, but it is still in early stages.
Our plan is to have a solution that looks very similar to SimLab IPad viewer

Hi, have the iPad app , but I can't seem to find the export to iPad option on my desktop software , is it a plugin or only a feature of 2.3. In which case how can I get 2.3 (is it released yet?)

This is a new feature in SimLab Composer 2.3 which will be released soon in the month of April.

So the Ipad user will be able to turn the model around, zoom and so forth just as a normal 3dpdf? Will animation be supported?

Yes you are correct, the iPad user will be able to rotate, pan and zoom.
Also Scene states work great with the iPad viewer. The user can save different views, hide and show parts, show different material configurations.

Animations will not be supported in the first release, it will be supported in future updates.
