Create 3D house plans from 2D pdf

Hi

I'm looking to buy some software to convert 2D house plans into 3D.

Presently I convert my customers plans into either MS paint or use PDF convertor. I then design a Central Vacuum System for their house, convert back to PDF and return to them. I would like to convert these into 3D if possible but there are so many 'convertors' on the market ranging from under a hundred £ to thousands.

Any info would be appreciated.

Hi John,

Have you tried Google Sketchup (free), you can import your lines into the program and and use them to make 3d models or bring in a picture and trace that then make 3d drawings, I suggest you look into the vast resources that many Sketchup forums have to offer.
Then you can use the Simlab sketchup plugin to make photorealistic renderings.
