SimLab AR/VR Viewer App will not open vrpackage file
SimLab AR/VR Viewer App will not open vrpackage file
Hello
I’m Trying to evaluate if we can use SimLab Composer to show 3D models on a mobile device. I made a little test by importing some stuff and export it as vrpackage. Then I transferred the file via Google Drive to my Android Phone and try to open it with "SimLab AR/VR Viewer". But it does not show up in "My Models". Is seems to be common issue as in the PlayStore more people are complaining. Is a solution? I attached the testfile
Thanks and Happy Christmas

Re: SimLab AR/VR Viewer App will not open vrpackage file
Hello Burns , And thank you for your feedback,
Will Actually I tried to import your model on the application using Google drive and it's working fine!
I need you to make sure of two things :
1- Make sure that you have the latest version of the application by updating it through play google.
2- Make sure that you Import a .vrpackage Not Zip file because the application reads only VRPackages and cannot read any other extensions.
if you still have the problem, can you please provide us with screen record or screenshots to be able to Identify your problem? Because I cannot reproduce it.
My Regards,
Razan

Re: SimLab AR/VR Viewer App will not open vrpackage file
Hello Burns ,
When I check your problem on my device and try to reproduce it , I can reproduce it when I turn off Storage permission for the application .
Can you please check the permissions for the application and make sure that you enable Storage permission?
To find the needed permission, please go to your device Settings -> Apps -> SimlabVRViewer-> App settings->Permissions-> Make sure that you enable Storage permission
Then restart the application.
I should this will help you to fix you problem.
Best regards.

Did you register for free sharing account?
You can move models from PC or Mac to Android.
Share it with others
and also get a webpage for showing work (if needed)

Re: SimLab AR/VR Viewer App will not open vrpackage file
No, I prefer using as little as necessary online storage. Is an account required to use local files?Did you register for free sharing account?
Re: SimLab AR/VR Viewer App will not open vrpackage file
No account is needed for local files.
But Sharing was designed 100% for VR Viewer on Mac/Win/Quest/Android and iOS
While you should be able to work with other options like drive one, SimLab Cloud Sharing is by far the most integrated option with the VR Viewer.
